This Baxi 248061 Diverter Valve fits the following Baxi boilers:

Most Heat Exchangers, Plate Heat Exchangers (Secondary Heat Exchangers, Domestic Heat Exchangers) and Diverter Valve Assembly’s within domestic boilers normally fail because they become blocked with magnetite that’s present within the central heating system.
THE BEST WAY TO PROTECT YOUR BOILER FROM MAGNETITE IS:
1)      On installation of a boiler a full flush of the system should be carried out (Hot Flush & Cold Flush) to ensure the removal of Flux from the system water, also an inhibitor should be added into the central heating system water.       
A magnetic device such as a Magnaclean (for more information on this product please look at the associated products at the bottom of this page) should also be installed ensuring the central heating system water is kept clean for the full life time of the boiler.
2)      If your system as been diagnosed with magnetite problems then the system will need thoroughly flushing out (a power flush is sometimes the only way this can be achieved), an inhibitor should then be added to the central heating system water.
