Potterton Pressure Relief Valves

Pressure Relief Valves are commonly referred to as a Pressure Release Valve, Prv or Safety Valve, this boiler part is a mechanical safety device preventing the boiler from operating over a set pressure normally 3Bar. This part is normally operated when the expansion vessel fails because the pressure in the boiler would build to unsafe levels. The prv / pressure relief valve prevents this from happening and releases the pressure at 3 or 6 bar.
